Obama's speech: analysis and reaction
President Obama has received a standing ovation after a speech in which he called for a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world.
In the address at Cairo University, he said America and Islam were not mutually exclusive, but shared common principles of justice, progress and tolerance.
Mr Obama promised to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam, and said the same principle should apply to Muslim perceptions of America.
He said no system of government should be imposed on one country by another, but that governments should reflect the will of the people.
Newshour's Claire Bolderson presents analysis and reaction to the speech from Egyptian, Pakistani and Lebanese commentators.
